President Greg Sloan

Greg Sloan has been President, Senior Project Manager, and Senior Safety Manager of Sloan Security group.(SSG) since its inception and has been primarily responsible for the firms reputation of broad capabilities and always-on-schedule project delivery. Greg's role has evolved to include overseeing bidding and managing projects nationwide for clients ranging from Boeing and Bechtel to Fluor and Washington Group International, and he is often overseeing projects under construction in several different time zones. (watch video). It is because of Greg's strong leadership capabilities that Sloan is well established as a leading design/build construction contractor.

Greg received a B.S. in Marketing in 1998 from the University of Idaho, with additional coursework in civil engineering. In 2000 he became a Certified Fencing Professional, the highest level of certification in the fencing industry (one of just 200 individuals so certified nationwide). In addition to his leadership in SSF, Greg has taken an active role serving as the as the Idaho Associated General Contractors (AGC) Board of Director for the past 4 years. In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Construction Education Foundation of Idaho for the past 3 years, and has been the Chairman for the Specialty Contractor Council at the AGC from 2002 through 2008. Greg is also involved in the AGC Safety Committee charged with developing crucial industry safety measures.

Greg enjoys hunting, football and volleyball. He is married to Amy Sloan and enjoys spending time with their three boys.

Brice Sloan, CFO/VP

Since 1991, Brice Sloan has taken a leadership role in SSG as Chief Financial Officer. His responsibilities include managing business matters, property acquisitions, financials, human resources IT, and public relations.

In 2005, he was recognized by Boise State University as one of three "Star Entrepreneurs" in Idaho. In 2006, the Boise Chamber of Commerce named Brice Sloan (and his brothers) entrepreneurs of the year for companies with less than 30 employees and the SBA named Brice (and brothers) as runner-up business person of the year for Idaho. In the 2007, the TWIGA Foundation recognized Brice Sloan for contributions to workforce flexibility. Inc. magazine named Sloan Security Fencing (now Sloan Security Group) to its “5000 fastest growing companies” list in 2007 and 2008.

He currently serves on the AGC benefit trust board and the Boise Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors and Strategic Direction Committee. Brice is a frequent presenter at BSU on international business, small business, and HR issues.

In addition to his commitment at SSF, he has served as a part-time, temporary director for the Idaho Department of Commerce International Division in January to May 2005, where he helped set up Governor Kempthorne's Asian Trade Mission.

In 2000, he took on a diplomatic position with the Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer with postings in Washington D.C. (Recruiting), Bucharest Romania (Economics Officer), and Canberra Australia (Political/Consular Officer). He was honored by the Drug Enforcement Administration while serving in Australia for outstanding contributions to law enforcement. He was also presented a Meritious Honor in Bucharest for his mediating role in the re-nationalization of an American company.

Brice has a B.S. in History from the University of Idaho and has taken Advanced Economics and Security and Consular Courses from the Foreign Service Institute in Virginia, as well as graduate coursework at Boise State University. His interests include walking, reading, coffee, architecture, traveling, and parenting two young children with his wife.

Collin Sloan, VP Business Development

Collin Sloan serves as Sloan Security Group's Vice President of Business Development and is responsible for presenting SSG before industry and government as a leading full service design/build perimeter security construction contractor.  Collin also manages project development, as it relates to locating new project opportunities and developing client relationships.  His extensive field experience, security product knowledge, and overall security understanding has led many clients to rely on him as a source of information as a consultant and perimeter security problem solver. He has dealt with challenges ranging from oil industry security problems in Africa and international airport perimeter security problems, to illegal immigration problems along the U.S./Mexican Border. As our in-house expert, Collin posts a security fencing blog and answers questions in the expert corner at www.sloansg.com.  His particular expertise is anti-vehicle barriers, international border barriers, and European and American security fence systems.

Collin’s international interest developed after spending significant time overseas in Europe for schooling and during his travels to 5 continents. He has long been focused on understanding and explaining the similarities and differences of materials, methods, and theories as they relate to perimeter security construction across the world.   Aside from his in-office responsibilities, Collin participates extensively in various organizations ranging from ASIS International (formerly American Society of Industrial Security), American Fence Association, Associated General Contractors, Idaho Young Constructors Forum, American Marketing Association, and others.        

Collin is a Physical Security Professional, Certified Fence Professional, and has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Idaho with international business coursework at The Hague University of Professional Education in The Hague, Holland. During his studies in Holland, Collin met his wife Mariska and was married in Holland in 2002. Away from work, Collin spends time with his wife and children in the U.S. and Holland (visiting in-laws), snowboarding, hunting, and windsurfing.
