Since 1991, Brice Sloan has taken a leadership role in SSG as Chief Financial Officer. His responsibilities include managing business matters, property acquisitions, financials, human resources IT, and public relations.
In 2005, he was recognized by Boise State University as one of three "Star Entrepreneurs" in Idaho. In 2006, the Boise Chamber of Commerce named Brice Sloan (and his brothers) entrepreneurs of the year for companies with less than 30 employees and the SBA named Brice (and brothers) as runner-up business person of the year for Idaho. In the 2007, the TWIGA Foundation recognized Brice Sloan for contributions to workforce flexibility. Inc. magazine named Sloan Security Fencing (now Sloan Security Group) to its “5000 fastest growing companies” list in 2007 and 2008.
He currently serves on the AGC benefit trust board and the Boise Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors and Strategic Direction Committee. Brice is a frequent presenter at BSU on international business, small business, and HR issues.
In addition to his commitment at SSF, he has served as a part-time, temporary director for the Idaho Department of Commerce International Division in January to May 2005, where he helped set up Governor Kempthorne's Asian Trade Mission.
In 2000, he took on a diplomatic position with the Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer with postings in Washington D.C. (Recruiting), Bucharest Romania (Economics Officer), and Canberra Australia (Political/Consular Officer). He was honored by the Drug Enforcement Administration while serving in Australia for outstanding contributions to law enforcement. He was also presented a Meritious Honor in Bucharest for his mediating role in the re-nationalization of an American company.
Brice has a B.S. in History from the University of Idaho and has taken Advanced Economics and Security and Consular Courses from the Foreign Service Institute in Virginia, as well as graduate coursework at Boise State University. His interests include walking, reading, coffee, architecture, traveling, and parenting two young children with his wife.
