Sloan Adds Canada Office
|

We are excited to welcome Jamie Affleck, to head up the new Sloan Security Group Canadian division. He will be based in Edmonton, Alberta.
Our goal is to provide premium physical construction services within the security and safety industries by using our mobile team of security technicians. Sloan Security Group has proven it can provide an unmatched level of service to its clients across the United States. By establishing a base in Canada, Sloan is taking important steps towards providing consistant security service across North America.
Jamie?s experience has been primarily been in safety. He graduated from the Alberta Fire School, as an Emergency Services Technician. He is currently working on his business degree, specializing in emergency services. Jamie also has extensive work experience in construction materials distribution, development and sales. SSG nominated for BBB award

Sloan Security Group is pleased to announce that we were nominated for the Better Business Bureau's Integrity Counts Award. This award recognizes companies in Southwest Idaho and Eastern Oregon that display integrity in action within their business. While ultimately, due to time constrains, we could not pursue this award, this was quite an honor!

Golf for Hope

We believe in helping those who are helping make a difference in lives, particularly young lives.
In this case, through golf, we were able to support "Hope House". Hope House is a non-profit that provides a home for children in need. Some come to Hope house with mental, physical, or emotional challenges. Others come from difficult family situations or failed adoptions.
I was really impressed with the passion that the founder, Donnalee Velvick brings to her charges. And the love that they, in turn, expressed towards her.
A big thank you to Ron Price and Rotary for organizing this charitable event!

It feels amazing that Fox News chose to interview us as a young company that continues to be successful in a down economy. Business is good right now, because our offerings meet a real need in the national security community.

Face down in a mud puddle...

I was recently on an east coast project carrying out some warranty work (repairing a broken spring) on a new anti-vehicle barrier. Initially my reaction was an annoyance at the interruption of my CFO spreadsheets-and-tie routine.
However, as I had both elbows and part of my face planted in four inches of muddy water (and I am asking the munition transport person - "any snakes around here?"), I realized that I was in the right place - experiencing what my crews experience everyday.
